Who we are. grandlineresearch.com is run by Grand Line Research ("we").

What we collect

• Account: a member number, your X or Whop @handle, membership status and key dates.
• X sign-in: your X user id and @handle, plus your email if X confirms it.
• Whop: your Whop user id, your email if Whop verifies it, and each membership's plan, status and any chargeback. We keep Whop's purchase messages as sent; they can include buyer details. Emails are used only to link your accounts.
• X subscriber list: every hour we copy the X user id and @handle of each subscriber to our X account, including people who never visit this site, only so X subscribers can sign in.
• Chat: your messages, direct messages, chat name and picture, votes, reactions, blocks, reports and scores. Deleted message text is removed after 30 days. Moderators can read a direct message only after it is reported, and each read is logged.
• Records: logs of account, access, chargeback and moderator actions.

What we do not collect. We never see or store card details (Whop handles payment). We have no passwords. We do not store your IP address in our database. We use no advertising or analytics trackers.

Why. To sign you in, check your membership, run the chat, keep it safe, and fix problems.

Who handles your data

• Cloudflare hosts the site and our database. Like any web host, it handles each request, including your IP address, to show you pages, under its own privacy policy.
• Whop sells memberships and takes payment under its own privacy policy.
• X handles X sign-in under its own privacy policy.
• Google serves our fonts, so your browser contacts Google.
• Substack hosts our articles and their pictures, so the research pages make your browser contact Substack.
• Cloudflare's AI summarises our own X posts for members. No member data goes to it.

We do not sell your data. We share it only with the services above, or where the law requires.

Cookies. A 7-day sign-in cookie, a short security cookie while you sign in, and one that remembers a closed notice. Your browser also remembers your theme and display choices.

How long we keep it. Sign-in sessions end after 7 days. Raw copies of each subscriber list read are trimmed after 7 days. Deleted chat message text is removed after 30 days.

Your choices. You can delete your own chat messages, block members and report messages. You can sign out, or sign out everywhere, from your account page. You can cancel your membership through Whop.

Changes. We will update this page and the date above when things change.
